Complaining briefly, but only briefly

Few things are more disheartening than hearing a doctor say she’s out of ideas. I’m officially a medical mystery.

This, after nearly two years of pain, goodness knows how many rounds of bloodwork, an ultrasound, a scope, a HIDA scan, a liver biopsy, a colonoscopy, a barium follow-through, a CT scan,  a gastric emptying study, and thirteen kinds of medication.
